be specific

The expression “be careful what you wish for” is usually spoken as a caution. For example, are you wishing for more free time? Sounds great until you get laid off from work, or break a leg and are in traction for two months. Ooof! Yes to the free time, but no thank you to THAT much free time.
Given that we are all creators of our own reality, and if you embrace the idea that you are in co-creation with the universe, just wish more specifically. Be clear. Whether you think it’s all you or you think there’s some other forces assisting you, it still works. Be clear about what you wish for.
Is more free time really on your wish list? Why? What do you want more time for? What would you do with extra time? When you clear out the fog, you can see your way better. So, be specific. I wish for an extra three to five hours a week so I can get to the gym. Or I wish for 20 minutes a day to meditate.
Is better health your wish? Instead of saying, “I wish I had my body of 20 years ago,” think about what you really are wishing for. Is it fewer pounds? Is it more stamina? Less fatigue, fewer aches? Then wish for that. And be even clearer. I wish I could lose 18 pounds. I wish I had the stamina to walk up three flights of stairs without getting winded. You see the difference?
If you make your wishes (or your goals) SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-Bound), they are far more likely to come true. Whether it’s just up to you or it’s up to you and your whole team of angels and guides, specificity counts, so start there.
